The Carbon Neutral Brazil program has as its main objective the generation and promotion of knowledge to help Brazil on the path towards climate neutrality. This includes studies, consulting, research, analysis, and proposals aimed at helping Brazil implement its climate targets by means of preparing inventories of greenhouse gas emissions, applying Measurement, Verification, and Reporting (MRV) methodologies, quantifying and pricing externalities, evaluating and creating economic scenarios, analyzing sectoral impacts, and formulating good practices in governmental policies, among other activities.
