José Eli da Veiga explains in this article the importance of the last of the six “leaders dialogues” scheduled by the “High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development” (HLPF). Composed of representatives from 193 member states, the body has the mission of monitoring the SDGs. Both the Rio+20 document, “The Future We Want,” from late 2012, and the 2015 “Agenda 2030,” highlight that the Forum (HLPF), must submit GSDRs, “global sustainable development reports.”
